Scope and Contents

Student handbooks spanning from 1930 to 2010, documenting changes in student life throughout the university's evolution. Handbooks provide an illuminating look into how students experienced life at East Stroudsburg Teachers College, East Stroudsburg State College, and today's East Stroudsburg University. These handbooks also document the unequal treatment faced by female students, stipulating discrimitory rules they were forced to follow. Multiple print copies available.

Collection of ESU summer session programs, containing information on summer courses, curricula, programming, general information about campus. Collection is incomplete, but spans from 1939-2010. Missing 1940-42, 1944, 1946, 1951-54, 1959-60, 1964-65, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007.

Collection of The Note, ESU publication from Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection (ACMJC). The Note is published two times per year by the ACMJC, East Stroudsburg University, as part of its educational outreach program.

Publications include valuable information on the evolution of education and learning at ESU, from its origins as a Normal School for teachers through its current status as public state university. Missing 1900, 1902, 1904, 1905, 1909, 1911, 1912, 1914, 1915, 1916, 1918, 1923, 2012-13, and 2013-14.
