The Ruth Lillian Jones Manuscript Collection includes correspondence, documents, photographs, pamphlets, publications, news clippings and awards stemming from her time as Dean of Women at East Stroudsburg University. In addition, the collection also includes personal photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, clothing, directories, and telephone books.

Abstract Sterling Boyd Strauser (1907–1995) was born in Bloomsburg, Pa. to Boyd and Emma Strauser. He began painting at 15 and took a few art classes while attending Bloomsburg State Teachers College from which he graduated in 1928. After teaching elementary school in Mount Pocono, Pa. from 1928 to 1929, Strauser took a job as a shipping clerk at International Boiler Works.
