Collection of The Stroud Courier Literary Supplements and The Pocono Record: ESU Supplements. In addition, the collection contains a special issue of The Pocono Record remembering the flood of 1955. Literary supplements from 1980-1984, 1986. Pocono ESU supplements from 1967, 1971, 1973, 1987-88, 2002-03. Flood of 1955 article from 2014.

Scope and Contents

Student handbooks spanning from 1930 to 2010, documenting changes in student life throughout the university's evolution. Handbooks provide an illuminating look into how students experienced life at East Stroudsburg Teachers College, East Stroudsburg State College, and today's East Stroudsburg University. These handbooks also document the unequal treatment faced by female students, stipulating discrimitory rules they were forced to follow. Multiple print copies available.

Collection of ESU summer session programs, containing information on summer courses, curricula, programming, general information about campus. Collection is incomplete, but spans from 1939-2010. Missing 1940-42, 1944, 1946, 1951-54, 1959-60, 1964-65, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007.

Collection of The Note, ESU publication from Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection (ACMJC). The Note is published two times per year by the ACMJC, East Stroudsburg University, as part of its educational outreach program.

Collection of East Stroudsburg University's long-running student newspaper, The Stroud Courier. Loose and bound issues included in the collection date from 1928-2019. Copies of the newspaper from 2011-present can be found online at thestroudcourier.com.

Content Description The Tocks Island Dam and Delaware River Basin Commission Collection contains copies of Newspaper articles, correspondences between community leaders and the Delaware River Commission, water and archaeological reports, and comprehensive review public information meetings (loose and bound copies).
